KNSG plans to address over-crowded classrooms
KANO state government is doing everything possible to address the over crowding of pupils in classrooms to enable them have a good environment of learning.
The state commissioner of education, Alhaji Musa Salihu dropped the hint while receiving a delegation of Association of Food stuff Suppliers (AFSS) who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
Alhaji Salihu stated that, enabling environment for pupils to learn, is foremost in line with programme in the ministry and as such, all efforts will be made to ensure the success of this endeavour.
The commissioner noted with appreciation the manner whereby the association supplies foodstuff to schools and urged them to maintain the trust and sincerity reposed in them.
He then called on teachers to continue doing their work diligently for the overall success of the students, while assuring them of every support for the success of educational sector in the state.
Earlier, the chairman of AFSS, Alhaji Hadi Badamasi had stated that, the purpose of the visit is to congratulate the commissioner on his appointment.
Alhaji Badamasi disclosed that, before the inception of this administration, the daily cost of feeding of a student per day was N30:00 . However, on the inception of the present administration the amount is raised to N52:50k per each student per day.
The chairman added that, his members are doing everything possible to ensure the good quality of foodstuff they supply to schools.
He then commended the present administration in the state for its relentless effort in seeing to the development of the educational sector in the state, white wishing the commissioner success in all his endeavour.
