Court stops Dariye's impeachment
Jos High Court has granted an Interim Injunction restraining Hon. Mike Dapialong and five others law makers from taking any step or further step for the purpose of convening any meeting or reassembling members of the State House of Assembly, within or outside Plateau state, pending the determination of the motion on notice.

The Court under Justice Yargatar Nimpar gave the order in a suit No. PLD/J451/2006 brought before her by the Pleau State House of Assembly Speaker, Simon Lalong and two others dated 11th October 2006 through their counsel, Garba S. Pwul. After hearing the application of the plaintiffs counsel, Justice Nimpar said 妬t is hereby ordered as follows that all court processes should be served on the defendants/respondents immediately while the motion on notice is fixed for hearing on the 13th , Friday of October this month.・
Justice Nimpar also gave an interim order nullifiying the proceedings purportedly conducted by the defendants on 5th October 2006 and all subsequent actions as well as nullifying all actions, decisions, steps and correspondence taken by the first respondent (Dapialong) in his purported or under the leadership or assumed capacity as the Speaker, leader or presiding officer of Plateau state House of Assembly.
Justice Nimpar also directed the plaintiffs/applicants counsel to serve the chambers of Solomon Umoh and Co. on behalf of the defendants along other forms of service stipulated on the motion paper.
Hearing on the motion on notice fixed to the 13th of this month.
