Adamawa boosts health sector with 21 ambulances, 10 buses
NO fever than 21 Peugeot 504 ambulance vehicles 10 Toyota Coaster buses were , Sunday, distributed to Health and Tertiary Institutions in Adamawa State to Mark Democracy Day.

Similarly the launch of two books written by some Lecturers of Adamawa State University, Muli fetched about N16 million as part of the Democracy Day celebrations.
Distributing the vehicles, Governor Boni Haruna said government action was part of deliberate plans to improve health care provision.
He noted that his administration was committed to the socio-economic transformation of the state and urged the people to remain cohessive and defend democracy.
He commended the military for maintaining their position as the defenders of the country’s territorial interguilty, noting that in the last-six years the military have subjected themselves to the civil society and urged them to continue to support democracy.
Governor Haruna also charged health care providers to be more committed to their duties especially in providing emergency services to accident victims.
He also charged citizens to imbibe good health care behaviours and embrace preventure measures put in place by the government.
The state government had advanced N100 million to the Federal Medical Centre in aid of their movement to their permanent location.
Adamawa State government had also earlier made a donation of N10 million as part of its contribution at the launching of the two books written by lecturers of Adamawa State University.
Governor Haruna who described the achievement of Adamawa State University as another dividend of democracy, said the feet is a proof of the vision of the founding fathers that University should not just engage in theoretical works put produce graduates that are capable of employing others.
